TotalDesignZ.com
pricelist ....well, sort of
At TotalDesignZ.com, we do work ranging from $500 and above to 5 figure
jobs and
sometimes even 6 figure projects. What this means to you as the customer
is that there
is no job too small or too large for us. This is evidenced by the
extensive list of services
that we offer. We will be more than happy to make a few changes to your
existing site and
we'll only charge you for the actual time spent and we can also make you a
6 figure corporate
site the likes of which you have never seen. We have made 5 page sites and
sites with over
500 products. We can charge you by the hour or give you a fixed price and
we offer the option
of a work log in Excel format. We know of no other company that offers
this much. We also
accept many forms of payment including Letters of Credit and
equity in the website
we're making.
You won't find any actual prices for our services for a simple reason. It
is impossible to quote
a price for making a website without having more details about the
project. Anyone quoting
you a price after only been asked like this "How much for a
website?" is sure to rip you off.
The reason! They will tell you anything to get the job and when they can't
deliver on budget
simply because they gave you an off the wall price, you will not hear from
them again and
you're stuck with going to court. Depending on how much you paid, it may
not be worth
your time which is what low budget companies count on.
Here are just a few things that decide how much a site will cost:
-
Number of pages?
-
Will the site have any programming such
as ASP, Java, CGI scripts,
Database and so on. This can really drive the price up.
-
Shockwave or Flash? Streaming video or
webcams?
-
Any graphics such as pictures? How
many? Will they be delivered to us ready
to use or will we have to retouch, resize, resample and compress? Many
clients
have what they think is web ready art but the reality is often that
the images
are way too big and must be redone, recompressed (if possible) or in
any
other way reworked to keep their site fast loading. Note that we are
known
for our fast loading sites!
-
Forms, discussion groups, auto
responders, mailing lists and custom designed
counters are other features that cost extra.
-
Will we receive all the information in
digital format or do we have to retype
all text? Will scanning be required?
-
Does the site require e-commerce and
other shopping features? If so, how many
products and what features will the site require? Does the client have
a merchant
account, security certificates and so on? Have they chosen a hosting
company?
Have they selected an e-commerce program?
-
Will we be doing Search Engine
Positioning? If so, at what level? Who is their
target audience? What country and what engines will we be
targeting? What
language? What is their competition for the chosen keyword/s or
phrase/s?
These are just a few of the question a
serious web design firm will be asking. If you are
paying for a company website and your design firm fails to ask you any of
the above,
look somewhere else. Does it seem complicated? Well, anything lesser won't
do the job!
Do you really want someone to design your site that takes the job so
lightly as to not
even ask you what you really need? We didn't think so. Why would you then
even
consider giving them your business? At TotalDesignZ.com, we care, we have
the
knowledge and we deliver. Every time, on time and on budget. Ask our
clients!
